Export and import all CF settings

I was looking for an option to export all the Cloudflare API settings, maybe including DNS settings, which could be later imported. This would be a great feature to backup a CF domain with all settings. If I were to start from scratch, it would take me hours or days, and I might not be able to recreate it all from memory./

Is there a way to export all ?

There is the existing backup/restore option, but that's more for rule definitions than settings.

It has crossed my mind that a function to copy settings from zone A to zone B might be useful, I just never went down that road because no one asked for it yet. 🙂

That being said, I'm not sure I would go so far as to do DNS records though. Typically those are going to be different for different zones (and even if they were mostly the same, the way R2 DNS binding works, someone could mess up their R2 bucket for WordPress media and loose their R2 DNS record which will always be unique for the domain). And if someone *really* wanted to go down that road, Cloudflare does have a DNS import/export function... but making that too easy for users honestly just seems like a potential supports problem for me... "I clicked the button and now all the DNS records are wrong/gone..." with no way to revert. Settings are easy enough to toggle if someone inadvertently changes them... but if you wipe out your DNS records, that's a bigger problem (there is no rollback or undo with Cloudflare DNS records). To me, it just feels like the number of people that would want that isn't going to be that great when you compare to how many people are going to accidentally click the button (if given).
