    New R2 storage issue

I have a theory that something that was happening earlier while the object cache was effing things up was causing issues. I was having repeated issues with the missing thumbnails, but only on the one batch of pictures that I kept trying to upload - subsequent batches don't yet display this...

    New R2 storage issue

There was, indeed, an object-cache.php. I had W3 Total Cache installed but it's been deactivated for... like, ever. I'm not sure when I used it last. Definitely a lot longer than 6 weeks ago so I'm not sure what happened 6 weeks ago. However, the object-cache.php was there. I removed it and...

    New R2 storage issue

I'm not quite sure what's happening, to be honest. I just uploaded a new media file to Wordpress. Upon uploading, the thumbnail is blank. When I check R2, there is nothing there. The migration didn't happen automatically. If I go to Migrate Existing Media, I see that there is one that hasn't...

    New R2 storage issue

The external data URL is still set to the normal static.domain.com entry. All of my old media is still normally accessible at this domain as well (since I have the entire /wp-content/uploads directory forwarded, my site would be very broken if the old media were returning a 404 from Cloudflare)...

    New R2 storage issue

After a while of not publishing anything new on the site, we just started to write some new content. However, it looks like something isn't right with our R2 deployment. First, adding new media results in blank thumbnails on the media page: None of my media files show a URL for...

    SiteOrigin Widgets CSS issue

Thank you, this caused me to go in and evaluate the Cloudflare redirects I had in place. I was redirecting the /wp-content/uploads to the R2 bucket because it was an in-place migration of an existing site so I couldn't be sure all of the image links were updated. I added an exclusion for the...

    SiteOrigin Widgets CSS issue

Sorry, I edited my post with a little more clarity. No, what appears to have happened is that SiteOrigin seems to have added a bunch of CSS files to wp-content/uploads, which seems to have triggered the R2 storage rules. Is SiteOrigin doing something stupid by stashing files in...

    SiteOrigin Widgets CSS issue

I've got an issue that seems to be triggered by the plugin media storage. At some point in the recent past, I'm not precisely sure when, parts of my site started rendering strangely. I banged my head on this for a long time until I discovered in the Network tab of the debugging tools, that...

Issue with plugin that uses /wp-content/uploads

One more question. The Smash Balloon Instagram plugin downloads and creates thumbnails of an Instagram feed so that you can embed small Instagram image feeds in your site. It uses the /wp-content/uploads/sb-instagram-feed-images directory to create downsized thumbnails to serve. The images...

Moving media to R2 missed a couple PDFs

I murdered the attachment and re-uploaded it. All is well. Thanks for the tips on troubleshooting, I've taken notes in case it happens again.

Moving media to R2 missed a couple PDFs

Hmm. Didn't fix it. The regeneration routine says it regenerated metadata for 1 file. Wordpress now shows 5 separate (but identical) metadata entries in the database for the single PDF file, that all end in .jpg, and the R2 migration utilities (both CLI and web, as well as that SQL query) show...

Moving media to R2 missed a couple PDFs

    I get a count of 0 on that first query. If I run that second query, I get only 2 out of your 3 rows, no metadata row: MariaDB [xxx]> SELECT * FROM wp_postmeta WHERE post_id = 9583; +---------+---------+-------------------+---------------------------+ | meta_id | post_id | meta_key |...

Moving media to R2 missed a couple PDFs

Small update, I found the manually move to R2 button on the media file. So that worked, but I did leave the second PDF alone for now in case there's some troubleshooting to be done.
